Aero-thermal simulation guides sensor placement

Physics-based temperature placement

We study how heat moves inside a room, where it builds up and where it escapes. This helps us position our temperature sensors perfectly.

Our technology operates in three steps:

  1. Understand heat flow using physics-based modelling (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to perfect sensor positioning.

  2. Build a digital twin with data from temperature sensors and weather forecasts.

  3. Optimise deployment of compressors and fans in real time.

This cuts cooling energy use by up to 30%.

Air-conditioning that understands space

VaprTech is built for operators who want to…

  1. Drive PUE down and stay on track for Net-Zero

  2. Unlock usable capacity per hall.

  3. Cut cooling energy without touching uptime

Physics-Informed

We solve the physics,

not guessing the pattern

- Most systems learn your building. We calculate it.

Data-driven tools need history. They watch your hall for weeks or months, learn which readings tend to follow which, and act on that pattern. It works until something changes. A new rack, a different workload, a door left open, a hot week in July, and the pattern no longer holds.

We start from the equations that govern how air moves and heat spreads. Those don't need a training period and they don't stop being true when your hall changes. The result is a live picture of every rack that's useful from early in the deployment, not months later, and that stays trustworthy when the room is reconfigured.

Retrofit

It sits on top of what you already own

- No new cooling plant, no rip and replace,

no downtime to install

We don't replace your cooling. We work with the units and the building management system already in the room, whichever manufacturer they came from. Nothing gets torn out, no capital equipment is written off, and the hall keeps running while we commission.

We also don't take the controls off you on day one. We start in advisory mode, showing you what we'd do and why. You compare it against what your team would have done. Only when you're satisfied does it move to supervised control, and then to running on its own, at whatever pace your risk appetite allows.

Sensor Sparse

Fewer sensors, fuller picture

- our sensors are sparser yet they provide a substantially more complete heatmap

The usual approach is a sensor on every rack. Hundreds of devices, hundreds of batteries, and you still only know the temperature at the points you happened to measure. The air in between, where recirculation and hotspots actually form, is a gap.

Because we solve the airflow rather than sample it, a handful of measurements is enough to fill in the rest. Fewer devices to install, fewer to power, fewer to replace, and a smaller footprint on your network. For a security team, that matters as much as the cost: every sensor is another thing to approve, patch and account for, and we're asking you to approve very few.

Your data never leaves

the building

- Everything runs on site. Nothing goes to a cloud.

Thermal and load data describes your customers' workloads and your facility's weak points. It's exactly the sort of information a security team doesn't want leaving the perimeter, and increasingly the sort a colocation contract won't allow to.

We run inside your network. Measurements are processed on site, decisions are made on site, and nothing is sent to a third-party cloud for analysis. That keeps the approval conversation with your OT and security teams short, and it means the system keeps working when the internet link doesn't.

FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

What is the installation procedure?

For DX air conditioners, VRV and VRF systems, installation is carried out by a certified professional. The installation is non-intrusive i.e. no hardware changes are required.

What makes VaprTech different from its competitors?

Smart thermostats like Google Nest optimise temperature at a single thermostat point, VaprTech optimises how cooling is delivered across the entire space. VaprTech uses proprietary CFD-based models to understand how heat moves within offices and data centres, identifying hotspots and airflow paths. Combined with real-time and forecast weather data, this enables targeted, heat- and weather-aware cooling. Instead of simply changing setpoints, VaprTech actively optimises compressor and fan deployments, reducing runtime and energy use.

How much energy can I expect to save?

Pilot deployments show that VaprTech can reduce air-conditioning energy consumption by up to 30%, depending on building characteristics, usage behaviour, and climate conditions.

Is VaprTech compatible with my existing system?

Yes. VaprTech is designed to work with existing DX systems, VRFs, VRVs, chillers and CRAC units, and integrates with BMS platforms.
